About the firm
An advisory firm built around privately held companies.
Haan Consulting Group advises owners of established, privately held businesses on the decisions that carry real financial consequence — how the company performs, what it is worth, and how ownership eventually changes hands.
Client profile
Privately held companies, roughly $2M–$50M in revenue
Disciplines
Advisory, CPA and CFO, valuation, M&A
Offices
Alpharetta, Georgia and Newport Beach, California
Why the firm exists
Most owners are advised in fragments.
A company at ten million dollars in revenue typically has a bookkeeper who records history, a CPA who appears at filing deadlines, a consultant engaged for a specific problem, and — years later — a broker who meets the business for the first time when the owner is already tired.
None of those advisors carry the full picture, and the cost of that shows up at exactly the wrong moment: financials that cannot survive a quality-of-earnings review, a valuation expectation nobody validated, concentration risk that could have been reduced with three years of notice.
Haan Consulting Group was built to hold the whole picture. Operating advice, financial reporting, tax, valuation, and transaction work sit under one roof so the preparation and the transaction are handled by the same team.
Who we work with
- Owner-operated and family-held companies
- Roughly $2M to $50M in annual revenue
- Management teams preparing for growth or transition
- Owners evaluating a sale, succession, or acquisition
- Buyers pursuing acquisition as a growth strategy
We do not take every engagement. Where the work sits outside our disciplines, we say so and point to someone better suited.
How the firm is organized
Four practices and one transaction division.
Business Advisory
Strategy, operations, pricing, and management structure for owner-operated companies.
CPA & Financial Advisory
Tax planning and compliance, financial reporting, and fractional CFO support led by a licensed CPA.
Valuation & Exit Planning
Indicative valuation, value driver analysis, and multi-year readiness work ahead of a transition.
Transaction Advisory
Sell-side and acquisition advisory delivered through Georgia Business Advisory.
Georgia Business Advisory is the transaction advisory division of Haan Consulting Group. Owners who work with us on performance and valuation are already prepared when the transaction team steps in.
How we work
Engagement standards
We scope before we engage
Every engagement begins with a defined scope, a stated deliverable, and a fee agreed in writing. No open-ended retainers without a reason for them.
One team across the lifecycle
Advisory, CPA, valuation, and transaction work sit inside one firm. The people who prepared the financials are the people in the room during diligence.
We tell owners what we actually see
If a business is not ready to go to market, or a valuation expectation is not supportable, we say so before work begins rather than after.
Confidentiality is structural
Ownership questions, financial records, and transaction interest are handled under nondisclosure and released only as a process requires.
Leadership
Senior people on the work, not behind it.
